Yay, Monday! You know what that means: the weekend is over, and it’s back to work. Look, I know it’s bad, but let’s just get through this. Together, Apes strong!
Did you watch much over the weekend? Did we give you some good suggestions? Now it’s Monday, you can also have a good moan about what you saw. We didn’t get to everything, for example, I binged Black Mirror Season 7.
The last season of Black Mirror wasn’t as good as we were hoping, but the good news, Season 7 is back on form. I’m not going to break down every episode, but overall, I thought they were very good.
The only episode that didn’t work was the one starring Akwafina, shocker! She is the Monday of the movie business. It was set in a woke remake of a classic movie. I think this is what else I didn’t like about it. We make jokes about gender/race swapping, but when they did it in this episode, it just annoyed me, as I know this is what happens.
Apart from that, the rest of the season was good. You may have heard the first episode is heavy, and it is, but it’s also very interesting and funny at the same time. The episode Eulogy had me in tears at the end, beautifully played out. Even the return to the USS Callister was a welcome one, although the episode was too long.
