It’s the internet. You can’t keep anything secret these days. With James Gunn’s Superman due out in just over three months, the test screenings of various workprint cuts have started as they polish the final product ready for release. As a result, it looks as if a secret cameo may have leaked out.
In just the first few minutes of the movie, according to a report at the The Insneider, the cinema burst into loud applause when the cameo was revealed. That report did not give any more details, but a name and role did then start to circulate online quickly.
Remember, two weeks ago there was a rumor that Tom Cruise would appear as Superman’s father, Jor-El?
Well, it is not him, but the reports say that it is the actor playing the role of Superman’s father.

We won’t spoil it here for people who are trying to remain pure and virginal before they go and see this movie, but the name was leaked on (where else!) Reddit so you can go there and see who a scooper claims it was.
Bear in mind, this is unconfirmed. We don’t get invited to many screenings as we refuse to give positive reviews in exchange for a goodie bag and a glass of warm wine, so we won’t be able to tell you if this is true or not.
A new, full trailer for Superman is expected to be attached to the Minecraft movie next week.
