Disney and the BBC have confirmed an April 12th premiere date and time for the second season of Ncuti Gatwa’s run on “Doctor Who”. The eight-episode run will then air weekly episodes with the finale set to air on May 31st.
As previously reported, the new season will see him joined by new companion Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) and returnee Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson).
In the new run, The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth.
But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, bigger enemies and wider terrors than ever before. Millie Gibson also returns as last season’s companion Ruby Sunday.
Alan Cumming has been announced as the big guest star of the second episode playing Mr. Ring-a-Ding – a Max Fleischer-style singalong cartoon character
In 1952 and after years of repeats in cinemas across the land, Ring-a-Ding suddenly decides to look beyond the screen and see the real world outside. The consequences are terrifying.
Cumming previously appeared in the modern run of ‘Who,’ playing King James I in the 2018 episode “The Witchfinders”. Other previously announced guest stars include Rose Ayling-Ellis, Christopher Chung, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jonah Hauer-King, Ruth Madeley, Jemma Redgrave and Susan Twist.
The stars align on 12th April ✨
