HBO’s “The White Lotus” reportedly hit 3.4 million viewers with the second episode of its third season on Sunday night in Live+Same Day results.

The number comes from combining Nielsen’s measurement of linear viewers with Warner Bros. Discovery’s own measurement of streams on Max and is said to be a 40% increase from the 2.4 million for the season premiere in Live+Same Day.

Warner Bros. Discovery also claims last weekend’s season premiere has surpassed 10.2 million U.S. viewers in the week since its release. That’s 92% above where the Season 2 premiere was tracking after the same amount of time (5.3 million).

Going global, the Season 3 premiere has reportedly more than doubled viewership when compared to Season 2 viewing during the same amount of time.

This has led to the streaming touting this as the second biggest returning season in the history of Max, behind only “House of the Dragon”.

The second season still holds the Live+Same Day record of 4.1 million viewers, a number it’s looking like this series could beat before the season is out.
