HBO has officially renewed its acclaimed dark comedy/social satire series “The White Lotus” for a fourth season, with the Season 4 run of the series to begin shooting in 2026.

The early renewal comes several weeks before the third season premieres on the premium cabler on February 16th. That new run will go for eight episodes until April 6th, clocking in at an episode longer than previous seasons.

Each season so far has followed groups of troubled vacationers – and the long-suffering hotel staff members who serve them – as they unleash their worst impulses whilst staying at beautiful White Lotus chain resorts in different locales.

A mysterious death is usually in the mix as well. The first season took place in Hawaii with the theme of money, the second in Italy with the theme of sex, and the third in Thailand with the theme of spirituality.

It is unclear where the fourth season will unfold, what its theme might be, or which cast members will return from previous seasons.

Creator-showrunner Mike White has already pitched ideas for the next round to HBO and Max chief Casey Bloys, though, so some rough ideas are out there.

Natasha Rothwell, Parker Posey, Walton Goggins, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Scott Glenn and Patrick Schwarzenegger are among the cast of the third season which released its trailer last month.

The show’s first two seasons have won fifteen Emmys to date and is executive produced by White, David Bernad and Mark Kamine. “The White Lotus” Season 4 will presumably arrive on screens in late 2026 or sometime in 2027.
