David Zayas, James Remar and Jack Alcott are all set to return to the “Dexter” franchise in the upcoming “Dexter: Resurrection” series for Paramount+ with Showtime.
Zayas played Detective Angel Batista, Dexter’s friend and coworker in the original series which ran for eight seasons and wrapped in 2013.
Remar played Dexter’s deceased father Harry Morgan also in the original run, while Alcott played Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan in the 2021 revival series “Dexter: New Blood”.
All three will be joining Michael C. Hall reprising his role of Dexter Morgan in the new run which begins production this month and will air this Summer.
A prequel series, “Dexter: Original Sin,” is currently airing and occurs in flashbacks with the framing event taking place after ‘New Blood’ as Dexter is revived in hospital.
Clyde Phillips serves as showrunner on both ‘Original Sin’ and also ‘Resurrection’ with the latter essentially serving as ‘New Blood Seasonn2’.
