Mel Gibson is back in the director’s chair, for the first time since Hacksaw Ridge in 2016. In his new movie, Flight Risk, Mark Wahlberg is being very naughty, check out the trailer.
A little generic, but I like the fact it looks like it is all set on a small plane. I’m a fan of movies like that. Not sure about Wahlberg’s hair either, it looks like he’s really let himself go.
Flight Risk stars Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, Topher Grace, Monib Abhat, Leah Remini and Paul Ben-Victor. Gibson is directing and Jared Rosenberg penning the script. The official story is:
A pilot transports an Air Marshal accompanying a fugitive to trial. As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem.
Wahlberg hasn’t played a bad guy since his breakout role in Fear in 1996. Reading through his list of movies, he’s had an interesting career. There are a lot of hits and misses, I’m going to say more misses than hits.
Gibson is credited with directing two more Christ movies, The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection Parts 1 and 2. I’m guessing those will be out around Easter time, which is when Jesus beat up the Easter Bunny and stole his chocolate eggs.
Flight Risk will be in cinemas on the 24th of January. I have to say, it looks like a ‘I’ll wait for it on streaming’ myself.
