The first poster has been released for “Love Me,” an experimental film starring Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun.
The postapocalyptic romance tale follows a buoy and a satellite who meet online and fall in love after the end of human civilization.
Those who’ve seen it say the film has multiple layers – there’s the two pieces of technology, people in the real world, and a metaverse-style setting.
Stewart herself said in a previous interview with EW that it’s “a really revolutionarily written script”.
Playing at Sundance earlier this year, reviews for the film were decidedly mixed with a 47% (5.8/10) on Rotten Tomatoes and a 54 on Metacritic.
Sam and Andy Zuchero make their directorial debut on the project and penned the script. The film did win the Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize at Sundance.
Bleecker Street is set to release the film theatrically in the U.S. on January 31st.
