Wuthering Heights
Emerald Fennell’s new film adaptation of the classic gothic romance “Wuthering Heights” has scored a February 13th 2026 wide theatrical release date by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi, Hong Chau, Alison Oliver and Shazad Latif will star in the new take on Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel which sparked a bidding war and saw Fennell reject an offer from Netflix twice the size of Warners’ offer in exchange for a guaranteed full theatrical release. Ella Purnell, Lukas Gage, Angourie Rice and Finn Bennett have joined the cast of the thriller “Loser” which will be produced by the “Scream VI” and “Ready or Not” team of Radio Silence. No production date has been set.
The story follows Alice, a brilliant but troubled physicist, as she attempts to heal her trauma by using time travel, but gets caught in a twisty, cat-and-mouse game of murder and violence in New York City. Colleen McGuinness will pen and direct. [Source: Yahoo]
Another Round
Appian Way Productions has enlisted Pulitzer Prize winner David Auburn (“Proof”) to pen a new script draft for the Chris Rock-directed remake of 2020’s Oscar-winning Danish movie “Another Round” starring Mads Mikkelsen.
The original film centers around four friends, all teachers at various stages of middle age, who are stuck in a rut. Unable to share their passions they embark on an audacious experiment – to see if a constant level of alcohol in their blood will help them find greater freedom and happiness. [Source: Deadline]
Rolling Loud
Owen Wilson is set to star with comedian Matt Rife in the R-rated father-son comedy “Rolling Loud” set at the eponymous hip-hop festival. Jeremy Garelick penned and directs the true story inspired tale with filming to start on the ground at the festival in Miami this weekend.
Wilson plays an overprotective father who sneaks his 13-year-old son into the world’s largest hip-hop music festival, setting off a chaotic adventure with his reckless co-worker (Rife) and an eccentric festival volunteer as they navigate wild crowds, security and their own dynamics.
