With the release of the “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew” series this week, talk of the previous one, “The Acolyte,” has come up in conversation again. That show remains a contentious topic of discussion within the fandom, but one of its stars remains positive about it.

Jodie Turner-Smith, out promoting her role in “The Agency,” tells Collider she’s open to a potential return to the “Star Wars” universe – that’s in spite of the racist backlash she received for her role of Mother Aniseya in the series. She says:

“Of course [I’d return]! First of all, I loved being in that universe, I had an incredible time doing that, and I loved it. No matter what, it’s fun, gratifying work.

There’s a lot of other stuff that comes with it that has nothing to do with the work and the colors of the work just because it’s’ politics or whatever, but ultimately it was a dream project to be a part of.

I would do it again. I would. I don’t have any regrets. If there was an opportunity to do more, I would be right there.”

Meanwhile, Lucasfilm CCO and “Star Wars” writing/producing alum Dave Filoni has offered a brief update on how the second season of his “Star Wars: Ahsoka” series is progressing.

Filoni famously penned the entire first season run of the series and is doing so again here with the writing still continuing at present. He says in a recent interview with Extra TV:

“I’ve been writing it, and I’m still the single writer on it. I’ve been enjoying doing that, but it’s a challenge, of course. Working some of these arcs through has been a challenge and making sure it’s all gonna come out in a way that I think is exciting for fans.”

Filming for the new season of “Ahsoka” is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2025,
