Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi
“Logan,” “Ford v Ferrari” and “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” filmmaker James Mangold is currently out promoting his upcoming young Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” opening next month.
He tells Empire that his next priority will be his “Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi” film and that the project could go into production as early as next year. Beau Willimon is co-writing the film which is set 25,000 years in the past. [Source: World of Reel]
The Bookie & The Bruiser
Vince Vaughn will soon re-team with his “Dragged Across Concrete” and “Brawl in Cell Block 99” director S. Craig Zahler for the upcoming 1959 New York-set “The Bookie & The Bruiser” which was to film this Fall. It follows a bookmaker and an enforcer who find themselves stuck between a powerful Irish gang and the Mafia.
Vaughn this week has revealed that a slight delay has pushed production back to early next year. Part of that may be due to Oscar winner Adrien Brody whose work in “The Brutalist” is expected to be a major awards race contender. [Source: Collider]
Poetic License
Cooper Hoffman, Leslie Mann, Andrew Barth Feldman and Nico Parker have all joined the cast of Maude Apatow’s feature film directorial debut “Poetic License”. Raffi Donatich penned the script.
The story follows a former therapist and soon-to-be empty nester, as she becomes the unexpected point of tension between two inseparable best friends and college seniors. She is forced to reexamine her life as the boys’ friendship unravels in a fierce competition for her affection. [Source: Deadline]
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrm
A new poster is out for the animated fantasy film “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” has been released ahead of the film’s opening in cinemas on December 13th.
Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy, this follows the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand – the legendary King of Rohan. Brian Cox, Luke Pasqualino, Gaia Wise and Miranda Otto lend their voices.
