The CW is set to bring back “Superman and Lois” to screens next month, with the show’s ten-episode fourth and final season commencing on October 7th with a double-episode premiere.
The series is expected to close out its run, and The CW’s once mighty DC-inspired universe, in early December and now a report at TV Line indicates the producers have setup something special in the series finale.
In fact, they suggest the show’s ending will do something that “no previous Man of Steel-themed TV series or movie has ever done before.” It’s not specified if they are only referring to live-action.
The fourth season will begin with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lex Luthor’s monster locked in a ferocious moon battle. Lois, her boys, and the world must face an unthinkable possibility: what if Superman never returns?
In addition, General Lane (Dylan Walsh) struggles to stay alive after being kidnapped by Luthor’s henchmen. Luthor (Michael Cudlitz) has moved to Smallville as the next step in his malicious plan to destroy Lois Lane, and Lana Lang (Emanuelle Chriqui) uses her position as Mayor to fight back against Luthor’s schemes.
