Amazon’s Prime Video has paused production on the third and final season of its fantasy drama “Good Omens” ahead of shooting which was to get underway shortly in Scotland.
The decision comes two months after series creator and showrunner Neil Gaiman has been accused of sexual assault by several women.
One alleged incident in New Zealand in 2022, reportedly involving his child’s 23-year-old nanny, is currently under investigation by authorities.
Changes to “Good Omens” are reportedly being considered at present. Gaiman and Terry Pratchett co-authored the 1990 novel upon which ‘Omens’ is based.
The news follows on from reports last week that “The Graveyard Book,” the feature adaptation of Gaiman’s 2008 novel with Marc Forster attached to direct, had hit pause at Disney.
Netflix’s series adaptation of “The Sandman” recently shot a second season though it’s unlikely to be ready for release on the streamer until well into next year.
