With the current run of live-action “Star Wars” series on Disney+ set through “Andor” season 2 airing next year, one wonders what’ll come next from the franchise.

Easily the biggest potential candidate will be the second season of “Ahsoka” which has been ordered by Lucasfilm, but there is no work on any dates yet.

Now Natasha Liu Bordizzo, who plays Sabine Wren in the live-action series, reportedly told a Dragon Con 2024 crowd (via Collider that she doesn’t expect filming for the new run to commence until Summer 2025.

That strongly suggests the new season probably won’t arrive until 2026 – close to the release of the currently filming “The Mandalorian and Grogu” feature and three years after the first season aired.

The “Skeleton Crew” series is also on the way shortly and could bridge the gap between “Ahsoka” seasons both are set in the Mando-verse time.

The first season of “Ahsoka” is available on Disney+ everywhere.
