The first trailer for Aussie filmmaker Leigh Whannell’s “Wolf Man” is rumored to hit this week.
The news comes as the first art for the film has been spotted at Universal Studios Orlando with the film’s logo and a shot of a house at night spotted near the Fanta Bar at Lombard’s Seafood Grill.
The banner is part of the park’s Halloween Horror Nights takeover, and sadly shows no sign of the creature itself which will likely be kept under wraps until the trailer.
Christopher Abbott, Julia Garner, Sam Jaeger and Matilda Firth co-star in the film in which a man seeks to protect himself and his family from a dangerous werewolf at night during a full moon.
Plot specifics are under wraps as the film underwent some writer/director changes before a deal was finalised with Whannell who shot the project from March to May in New Zealand.
This will mark Whannell’s fourth directorial effort following “Insidious: Chapter 3,” “Upgrade” and “The Invisible Man”. Like the latter, this is a reinvention of the classic Universal monster franchise.
Universal and Blumhouse will release the project in cinemas on January 17th.
