He-Man & The Masters of the Universe
Back in May came the news that Travis Knight will direct the “Masters of the Universe” live-action film at Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, with the movie due out in June 2026 and Nicholas Galitzine set to play He-Man.
Now, For Eternia reports that multi award-winning Fabian Wagner has been hired as the film’s cinematographer. Wagner is best known for his work on films like “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” and “Overlord,” and his work on shows like “Game of Thrones” and “Sherlock”.
Creature from the Black Lagoon
A new trade report at THR has confirmed a several weeks old story that James Wan is in early talks to direct a new film adaptation of the Universal Pictures monster classic “Creature From the Black Lagoon”. They add a writer will now be hired to write a script, working in concert with Wan who is also producing.
The news comes as DanielRPK, who first broke the Wan directing news, says Scarlett Johansson is being sought for the female lead role in the film.
Mufasa: The Lion King
Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan will team with his sons Aryan Khan and AbRam as the voice cast of the Hindi-language version of Disney’s upcoming “Mufasa: The Lion King” film from director Barry Jenkins.
The English voice cast includes Aaron Pierre as Mufasa, Kelvin Harrison Jr. as Taka along with Mads Mikkelsen, Braelyn Rankins, John Kani, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Thandiwe Newton, Donald Glover, Keith David, Anika Noni Rose, Lennie James and Beyonce. Wicked
Universal Pictures has released a new TV spot for its film adaptation of the “Wicked” musical, this clip putting the focus on “Bridgerton” and “Fellow Travelers” star Jonathan Bailey’s character Prince Fiyero.
In the musical, he’s described as Oz’s most eligible bachelor and enrols at Shiz University alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba and Ariana Grande’s Glinda. “Wicked: Part One” will arrive in cinemas November 22nd.
