By A24 has premiered the official trailer for its darkly comedic psychological thriller “A Different Man” starring Sebastian Stan.
The Marvel star plays Edward, an aspiring actor who suffers from neurofibromatosis and who undergoes a life-changing and radical medical procedure that radically alters his face.
But his new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost.
Stan reportedly endured around three hours of make-up each day to apply the prosthetics needed to play a man with neurofibromatosis.
Renate Reinsve, Adam Pearson, C. Mason Wells, Owen Kline, Charlie Korsmo, Patrick Wang, and Michael Shannon co-star.
The film is written and directed by Aaron Schimberg and produced by Christine Vachon, Gabriel Mayers, and Vanessa McDonnell.
“A Different Man” arrives in theaters on September 20th.
