After strike-induced delays and other logistic difficulties, Noah Hawley’s highly anticipated “Alien” TV series for FX has wrapped production in Thailand.
Multiple crewmembers have been sharing pictures from the series’ wrap party last night, while lead actor Sydney Chandler and series cinematographer Dana Gonzales took to social media with their own posts confirming filming has ended.
Chandler indicates she’s been shooting for half a year, but the series has actually been on-and-off in production for 15 months and was in development for years before that.

The events of the series reportedly take place in the year 2092 (about a year prior to “Prometheus”) and will adopt the retro-futurist aesthetic of the original “Alien” as opposed to the more gleaming modern look of “Prometheus”.
Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, Timothy Olyphant and David Rysdahl co-star in the series which will premiere on FX next year. The news comes ahead of the new film “Alien: Romulus” which launches in cinemas next month.
