The Fall
MUBI is set to re-release Tarsem’s cult 2006 film “The Fall” in a newly restored 4K version releasing on its service September 27th. The restoration will premiere at the Locarno Film Festival.

Set in Los Angeles 1920s, the film follows an immigrant girl in a hospital recovering from a fall. Her friendship with a bedridden man. He captivates her with a whimsical story that takes her into the exotic landscapes of her imagination. [Source: Deadline]

Bad Boys: Ride or Die
Sony Pictures has set a PVOD release of July 23rd for “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” the fourth installment in the long-running action comedy franchise.

The sequel has earned a worldwide gross of over $370 million at the box office against a reported budget of around $100 million. The release comes nearly seven weeks after its theatrical debut. [Source: Collider]

Power Ballad
“Sing Street” director John Carney’s new film “Power Ballad,” starring Nick Jonas and Paul Rudd, has been acquired by Lionsgate. Filming recently wrapped in Dublin.

The story focuses on a talented but past-his-prime wedding singer (Rudd) and a young rockstar (Jonas) who uses the wedding singer’s songwriting prowess to revitalize his own career. [Source: Lionsgate]

Euphoria
The long-awaited third season of the hit HBO drama “Euphoria” has officially set a January 2025 start date for filming with the entire list of principal cast members returning to the project including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, and more.

FIlming was to begin this Spring but then it was postponed and reports surfaced that there was skepticism a third season would ever happen. [Source: Variety]

After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun
A four-episode docuseries about iconic syndicated series “Baywatch” is headed to Hulu on August 28th. The series offers an inside look at “the cultural phenomenon that defined an era”. The series will feature new cast interviews as well as a never-aired interview with Pamela Anderson, who starred as CJ Parker.

There’s also home videos shot by the cast themselves with lots actors ranging from early-days stars like Erika Eleniak and Billy Warlock to latter season actors like Carmen Electra and longtime stalwarts like David Chokachi and Alexandra Paul participate. [Source: Deadline]
