A couple of recent studio theatrical release films have set some digital release dates.
First up, John Krasinski’s “IF” will be available to watch on Paramount+ from tomorrow, July 9th. The film, which grossed over $185 million worldwide, hit cinemas in May and PVOD platforms more recently.
The Chris Pratt-voiced “The Garfield Movie” has set a VOD release date also of tomorrow, July 9th, and will be available to both purchase and rent digitally. It comes six weeks after the film was released in cinemas on May 24th.
Both join what is set to be a very busy day digitally tomorrow with the already announced VOD and PVOD releases of “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes,” “The Bikeriders” and “The Exorcism”.
Additionally the well-received Nic Cage-led “Arcadian” is coming to both Shudder and AMC+ this Friday.
Peacock has announced that Radio Silence’s vampire horror comedy “Abigail” will begin streaming exclusively on the platform beginning July 19th. The film grossed over $42 million upon its release in theaters in April.
Next, Sony Pictures has set a July 22nd date for the Netflix debut of “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” which opened back in March.
Finally, Mélanie Laurent’s new film “Freedom” has been set for a premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 1st. “Emily in Paris” star Lucas Bravo leads the romantic heist film.
