The teaser trailer has been released for “Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League,” a new animated feature that hails from Warner Bros. Japan.
The trailer was first unveiled at Anime Expo and reveals the sequel to 2018’s “Batman Ninja” which was released theatrically in Japan and went to digital in the United States. It remains currently available on Max.
The new film sees Batman and Robin taking on alternate versions of some of his greatest allies – Green Lantern, Aquaman, The Flash, and Wonder Woman. All sport new looks to match the feudal Japan period.
Junpei Mizusaki is returning from the first film to direct the sequel alongside Shinji Takagi (unit director for “Blood: The Last Vampire”). Kamikaze Douga is again animating the film.
Also back are scriptwriter Kazuki Nakashima, character designer Takashi Okazaki, and composer Yūgo Kanno. Kōichi Yamadera returns to voice Bruce Wayne/Batman.
“Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League” presently doesn’t have a release date.
