Julianne Moore, Milly Alcock, Meghann Fahy, Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton are all set for lead roles in the Netflix dark comedy limited series “Sirens”.
The project hails from “Maid” creator Molly Smith Metzler and serves as an adaptation of her play “Elemeno Pea”. The story unfolds over the course of one weekend at a lavish beach estate.
In the series Devon (Fahy) thinks her sister Simone (Alcock) has a creepy relationship with her boss – the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Moore).
Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.
Bacon plays the old money husband to Moore’s character, Howerton is the lifelong bachelor next door burning through his trust fund.
Metzler serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie also executive produce while Nicole Kassell will direct the first two episodes and also serve as executive producer.
