Netflix has premiered the trailer for the Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry-led action film “The Union” which premieres on the service on August 16th.
In the film, Mike (Wahlberg) is happy living a simple life as a construction worker in his native New Jersey. That is until his long-lost high school sweetheart, Roxanne (Berry), shows up with more on her mind than romance.
Knowing he’s the right man for the job, she recruits Mike on a dangerous intelligence mission in Europe that thrusts them back together into a world of spies and high-speed car chases, with sparks flying along the way.
Mike Colter, J.K. Simmons, Jackie Earle Haley, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica De Gouw and Alice Lee co-star in the film which was shot around mid-2022 in Italy, Slovenia, the UK & US.
Previously titled “Our Man from Jersey,” the film is penned by Joe Barton and “Designated Survivor” creator David Guggenheim.
Clocking in at a surprisingly long 133 minutes, “The Union” will premiere on Netflix on August 14th.
