Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan are reportedly in negotiations to star in the second season of Netflix’s anthology series “Beef” at Netflix. The pair previously worked together on “Inside Llewyn Davis”.
Deadline broke the news, saying the second season revolves around two feuding couples. The other couple is, no doubt, the already-cast Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny.
Despite the high-profile casting, no official green light has been handed out for a second season as yet and Netflix had no comment on the Isaac and Mulligan talks.
The pair take on roles originally rumored to be for “Brokeback Mountain” and “Love and Other Drugs” stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.
Back in January, “Beef” swept the Emmy awards in the limited series category – winning not just Best Limited or Anthology Series but also acting wins for its two leads Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
