By NEON has premiered a sinister teaser trailer for Oz Perkins’ horror-thriller film “Longlegs” starring Maika Monroe and Nicolas Cage.
The film follows Lee Harker (Monroe), a talented new FBI agent, has been assigned to an unsolved case of a serial killer.
As the investigation becomes more complicated and occult evidence is uncovered, Harker realizes a personal link and must act quickly to prevent another family murder.
Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood co-star. The film was shot in Vancouver early last year and screened at EFM where NEON acquired it. Perkins is best known for his 2015 film “The Blackcoat’s Daughter”.
Cage is coming off a number of films of late including “Dream Scenario,” “The Retirement Plan,” “Sympathy for the Devil,” “Renfield,” “The Old Way,” “Butcher’s Crossing,” “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” and “Pig”. This is one of two films he has due out this year, the other being “Arcadian”.
Monroe is coming off “Watcher,” “Significant Other” and “God is a Bullet”. She has the “It Follows” sequel “They Follow” in the works.
