Lionsgate has released the trailer for the Dave Bautista-led action comedy “The Killer’s Game” which comes from “Day Shift” director J.J. Perry.
Based on Jay Bonansinga’s novel, the story follows veteran assassin Joe Flood (Bautista), who is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness and authorizes a kill on himself to avoid the pain that is destined to follow.
After ordering the kill, he finds out the hitmen he hired also target his ex-girlfriend (Sofia Boutella). So, he must fend off an army of assassin colleagues and win back the love of his life before it’s too late.
Terry Crews, Scott Adkins, Pom Klementieff and Ben Kingsley co-star. “X-Men” alum Rand Ravich and Simon Kinberg penned the film with rewrites by James Coyne.
Andrew Lazar, Steve Richards, Kia Jam, Jake Katofsky and Vanessa Humphrey produce whilst Bautista and Jonathan Meisner executive produce.
“The Killer’s Game” releases in theaters on September 13th.
