Paul Mescal (“All of Us Strangers,” “Aftersun”) is reportedly being sought to star in Sam Mendes’ upcoming multiple movies about The Beatles.
The reveal comes in a piece in THR going into the young ‘A-List’ who are in high demand these days for projects. The trade indicates he’s being sought to play one of the Fab Four, though didn’t say which one.
Mescal made the ‘A-List’ piece alongside Zendaya, Timothee Chalamet, Jenna Ortega, Anya Taylor-Joy, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Jacob Elordi, Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney.
The Beatles projects were announced in February and will see Sony Pictures Entertainment and Neal Street Productions collaborating on four separate films with each one following a specific band member’s point of view.
Mendes (“Skyfall,” “Revolutionary Road”) will direct all four movies and produce with Pippa Harris and Julie Pastor. Filming will begin in 2025 in the United Kingdom with all four films to open in 2027.
Mescal will be seen later this year in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” opening in cinemas at Thanksgiving.
