Following the actual news that Marvel Studios is finally moving forward with its “X-Men” film and has hired a writer for it, a new rumour about a whole other project has popped up.
DanielRPK reports that the company is developing the TV series “Blonde Phantom” for the Disney+ service.
Said series is being “described as a spy show set in the 1950s and taking place in Las Vegas”. In addition, he says pop megastar Taylor Swift is being considered for the lead role.
The report follows on from earlier rumors that Taylor Swift had formally met with Kevin Feige about a role in the MCU. Speculation has swirled for years that Swift will play the role of the X-Men mutant Dazzler.
Marvel has considered the Blonde Phantom character before. In fact, Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson has said her initial meeting for what led to her part in “Iron Man 2” was for multiple characters she could play with Scarlet Witch and Blonde Phantom cited as possibilities.
The character in the comics is a secretary at the Mark Mason Detective Agency who moonlights as a glamorous masked hero and even has to save her boss at times. She’s been linked with She-Hulk and the Avengers at times.
