The latest trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (the game’s first and only piece of DLC) has just been released. While the trailer doesn’t include any new gameplay footage, it does reveal a bit more about the DLC’s story and world. Perhaps more importantly to some, it reveals where you can pre-order Shadow of the Erdtree and how much its various editions will cost.

Let’s start simple. Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows PC. The base version of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will cost $39.99 across all available platforms. If that number seems high, that’s because it is. Most modern video game DLC retails for at least half that cost, and even Cyberpunk 2077‘s substantial Phantom Liberty DLC retailed for $29.99 at launch.

However, the Shadow of the Erdtree team has strongly suggested that this DLC will be nearly as big as (if not bigger than) the base Elden Ring game. Though it’s a stretch to call Shadow of the ErdtreeElden Ring 2,” the DLC’s developers really have been treating it more like a sequel than a simple expansion.

In fact, Shadow of the Erdtree is such a massive new release that it’s even getting its own Collector’s Edition. For a whopping $249.99, you can purchase a version of Shadow of the Erdtree that comes with the DLC, an 18-inch statue of Messmer the Impaler, a collectible box, and a book of artwork. Those really looking to splurge can buy a replica of Messmer’s helmet for $189.99 or a replica of Malenia’s arm for $459.99. Neither of those items comes with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, though, and neither will be available to ship when the DLC is released.

Those looking to split the difference can opt for the Shadow of the Erdtree Premium Bundle for $49.99. That version of the game comes with the DLC, a bonus in-game gesture, and a digital artbook and soundtrack. The $99.99 Deluxe Edition of the game includes all of that plus a copy of the base Elden Ring game. Between those options is the $79.99 Shadow of the Erdtree edition which includes the Base Elden Ring game, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and a bonus gesture (but no artbook or soundtrack).
