Apple TV+ has released the first photos from its new Florida-set comedy series “Bad Monkey” which hails from “Ted Lasso” co-creator Bill Lawrence.
In addition, they’ve confirmed the series will launch with its first two episodes on August 14th and continue its ten-episode first run through until October 9th.
Vince Vaughn both executive produces and stars in the series based on Carl Hiaasen’s best-selling novel. He plays Andrew Yancy, a man bounced from the Miami Police department and is now serving as a health inspector in the Florida Keys.
He ends up stumbling into a case after a human arm is sfished up by tourists. He figures that if he can prove it’s murder, he’ll be back in with the cops.
In order to do that, he just needs to deal with a trove of Floridian oddballs and one bad monkey. Lawrence serves as showrunner.
Other cast includes L. Scott Caldwell, Rob Delaney, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Alex Moffat, Michelle Monaghan, Ronald Peet, Jodie Turner-Smith, Victor Turpin, with special guest star John Ortiz and guest stars Zach Braff and Charlotte Lawrence.
Jeff Ingold, Matt Tarses, Marcos Siega and Liza Katzer also executive produce.
