Hot on the heels of today’s first reveal of him in costume, a photo is now out of actor David Corenswet with his gym-built Superman torso for James Gunn’s “Superman”.

The photo centers on the 6’4 actor’s biceps and back as he stands for the camera to show off the results of his months of training. Corenswet has bulked up considerably from his work in “The Greatest Hits” film, which was released on streaming the other month.

Trainer Paolo Mascitti released the photo, Mascitti famously got “Lucifer” actor Tom Ellis and “S.W.A.T.” actor Alex Russell into fighting shape.

In addition, the upcoming “The Garfield Movie” has already had fun with that official Superman photo as producer John Cohen has posted a Garfield-take on the shot.

The cast for the new “Superman” also includes Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Skyler Gisondo, Nathan Fillion and more. Gunn’s film will follow Superman as he looks to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as old-fashioned.

“Superman” will open in cinemas on July 11th 2025. “The Garfield Movie” is already playing internationally and hits U.S. cinemas on Memorial Day weekend.
