By Hot on the heels of his hiring to take on George Kennedy’s role in the upcoming “The Naked Gun” reboot, actor Paul Walter Hauser has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
THR reports that Hauser has scored a role in Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four” reboot. No character details are available at present.
The “Blackbird,” “BlacKkKlansman” and “Cruella” star joins a cast that includes Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer.
“WandaVision” director Matt Shakman is helming the new film with Eric Pearson writing the latest draft of the script. Indications are the film will take place in the 1960s, quite possibly on another Earth initially.
“Fantastic Four” has a July 25th 2025 release date set, whilst the company’s next release is “Deadpool & Wolverine” on July 26th.
Hauser will play Chris Farley in an upcoming biopic which was recently sold to New Line.
