By Nickelodeon has premiered the trailer for “The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,” a revival of the classic kids animated cartoon, which premieres on Monday, May 20th.
The new story begins as ten-year-old Hazel Wells has just moved to the big city of Dimmadelphia because of her dad’s new job. It’s also the first time she’s been without her brother, Antony, who has just left for college.
Hazel is unsure of herself when it’s revealed that the pink-and-green-haired neighbors next door reveal are actually Cosmo and Wanda, fairy godparents.
The 20-episode new show takes Wanda and Cosmo from Dimsdale to Dimmadelphia as the pair come out of retirement to help this young girl in need.
Voice cast includes Crystal Hairston (Tiny Toons Looniversity, Craig of the Creek) as the voice of Hazel whilst Susanne Blakeslee (The Loud House, Amphibia) and Daran Norris (The Loud House, The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder) reprise their roles as Cosmo and Wanda.
The series will also be available on Netflix internationally and is co-executive produced by David Stone, Lindsay Katai, Ashleigh Crystal Hairston, Fred Seibert, Butch Hartman and Daniel Abramovici.
