By “Thor: Love and Thunder” made its way into cinemas in 2022 where the film, coming off a franchise critical and box-office high with “Thor: Ragnarok,” doubled down on the goofier tone that film introduced.
The result made $760 million worldwide, but also divided the fanbase and came under plenty of criticism for its messy tone, problematic VFX and weak story.
Last year franchise star Chris Hemsworth spoke about what went wrong with it, saying at the time:”I think we just had too much fun. It just became too silly”.
Since then, he hasn’t had a change of heart; in fact, in a new interview with Vanity Fair, it’s made clear the actor still has regrets about the resulting film.
Hemsworth says: “I got caught up in the improv and the wackiness, and I became a parody of myself. I didn’t stick the landing.”
The article’s writer adds the 40-year-old Aussie says he: “still can’t forgive himself” and reportedly “thinks he owes the audience another”.
