By NBC will once again hike prices on its Peacock streaming service, the second such jump for the subscription platform in two years.
Peacock Premium and the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus will see a price increase in mid-July. Both will increase $2 in price to $7.99 and $13.99 a month respectively.
Annual subscriptions will go up $20 each to $79.99 and $139.99 respectively. The new prices will go into effect from July 18th. Existing subscribers won’t see the increase until August 17th.
The price rise comes just ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris which kick off July 26th.
Peacock has pulled in 34 million subscribers thus far, up from last year’s 22 million. The company also shut down their free tier of the service last year.
Peacock is also reportedly the new home for a fifth season of “Law & Order: Organized Crime” following a deal to move first-run episodes to the streamer exclusively after four seasons on NBC.
