Recently came the news that Amazon’s “Fallout” TV series had secured a $25 million tax credit for filming its second season in California.
Having only just launched this week, Amazon has yet to issue a formal renewal order for the show even as the series has yielded very good reviews and is trending all over social media.
Speaking with THR this week, showrunners Geneva Roberston-Dworest and Graham Wagner were asked what the future holds for the series following these eight episodes.
Robertson-Dworet says early development is already well underway on the second run:
“We don’t want to do too many spoilers, but we are ideating right now on a potential season two. Fans should look forward to the finale as a little flick towards what we’re going to do with a potential second season.”
Then asked if fan-favorite game “Fallout: New Vegas” will see elements adapted in the second season, she told the outlet “it’d be a spoiler to say anything else”.
The series is set within the timeline of the games with the events of the show taking place in 2296, around fifteen years after the events of ‘New Vegas’. Despite those involved having been quite faithful to the games, there have already been complaints and nitpicks online about continuity.
The entire first season of the series is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
