A couple of release date changes have been announced for Good Friday.
Universal Pictures is shifting around two Blumhouse titles. First up, the werewolf thriller “Wolf Man” from director Leigh Whannell (“The Invisible Man,” “Upgrade”) is being pushed back three months.
That film, which recently began shooting, will now open January 17th 2025 rather than the Halloween 2024 release originally planned. Christopher Abbott (“Poor Things”) stars as a man whose family is stalked by a dangerous predator.
As a result of the shift, Blumhouse’s “The Woman in the Yard” which was set for theatrical release on January 10th 2025 has been removed from the calendar.
Jaume Collet-Serra (“The Shallows,” “Jungle Cruise”) helms the film that stars Danielle Deadwyler (“Till”) but plot specifics are under wraps.
Next up, Warner Bros. Pictures has set the Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor-led feature “Flowervale Street” for a May 16th 2025 release.
The previously untitled project hails from director David Robert Mitchell (“It Follows,” “Under the Silver Lake”) and is set to open in IMAX. Maisy Stella and Christian Convery also star and plot details under wraps but is dubbed a “thrill ride”. J.J. Abrams produces.
