By “Insidious: The Last Key” and “Escape Room” director Adam Robitel is reportedly attached to direct the sequel to 2019 horror comedy “Ready or Not” at Searchlight Pictures.

On her wedding night, the in-laws have a very different sort of ritual in mind to mark the occasion as she is coerced into a sadistic game of hide-and-seek.
The film co-starred Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Elyse Levesque, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny and Andie MacDowell. It drew very good reviews from critics too.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, better known as “Scream VI” directors Radio Silence, helmed the original which made $57 million worldwide from a $6 million budget. They will produce the sequel alongside Chad Villella.
It’s not clear who is writing this entry, but original writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy are likely to return.
