“Homeland” creator Howard Gordon and star Claire Danes are looking to reunite at Netflix four years after that series ended its eight-season run on Showtime.
Netflix has given a straight-to-series order for the limited series “The Beast in Me” which will involve the pair alongside creator Gabe Rotter.
The mystery thriller revolves around acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs who has receded from public life since the death of her young son.
Unable to write, and a ghost of her former self, she soon finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought.
The new owner? Nile Sheldon, a formidable real estate mogul who was once suspected of killing his wife.
Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth “in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”
Rotter and Gordon previously worked on “The X-Files” together. Gordon is set as showrunner and will executive produce alongside the likes of Conan O’Brien and Jodie Foster.
