Actress Jennifer Holland has revealed that filming on the second season of James Gunn’s “Peacemaker” series will kick off this Summer.
Holland, who plays Emilia Harcourt in the series, responded to a fan on Instagram (via Deadline) asking if a second season of the John Cena-led series is coming and she said: “Yessss we start filming this summer! It’s gonna be so gooooood.”
The news follows on from co-star Danielle Brooks, who plays Leota Adebayo, who confirmed the second season is happening but was unsure when it was filming.
Gunn has previously talked about getting the scripts done for the new season, and it sounds like he will go into production on it after or near the time he wraps “Superman: Legacy”, which is scheduled to film through until late August.
The first season consisted of eight episodes and started streaming in January 2022. If it goes into production this Fall, it’ll likely not premiere until late 2025.
Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, and Robert Patrick co-star in the series, in which Gunn wrote all eight episodes and directed five. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers.
