Amazon’s Prime Video has released the second official trailer from its live-action TV series adaptation of the famed “Fallout” video game franchise.
Two hundred years after an apocalypse that took place in the 1950s, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind.
They are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them. “Fallout” is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have.
The series is not a direct adaptation or retelling of one of the games, but a story that exists in the same world and is its own thing.
The project hails from “Westworld” creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and is based on the games that began in 1997 and spawned multiple sequels. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the showrunners.
The cast is led by Ella Purnell as vault-dweller Lucy, Aaron Moten in the role of Maximus, Walton Goggins plays The Ghoul; and Kyle MacLachlan as Overseer Hank.
Additional cast includes Moises Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan and Xelia Mendes-Jones.
“Fallout” will premiere on Prime Video on April 11th.
