It’s official, the celebrated 2020 PlayStation exclusive and Game of the Year nominee “Ghost of Tsushima” is finally coming to PC.
Sucker Punch Productions has announced that the title will be released on the platform on May 16th with the game coming to both Steam and Epic Games Store.
The PC version will be the full “Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut” with the base game, Iki Island expansion, and multiplayer Legends mode.
In addition, it has been revealed that Nixxes Software are the ones handling the ‘Tsushima’ port in collaboration with original creator Sucker Punch.
Nixxes did the celebrated “Marvel’s Spider-Man” and “Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart” PC ports and are in charge of the “Horizon: Forbidden West” port hitting later this month.
Julian Huijbregts, an online community specialist at the studio, says in a statement:
“For the past year, the team at Nixxes has been working hard to bring the Sucker Punch in-house engine technology to PC and implement PC features such as unlocked frame rates, a variety of graphics settings and presets, and customizable mouse and keyboard controls.”
The game boasts ultrawide monitor support up to 48:9, and will come with upscaling and frame generation via NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3 and Intel XeSS. NVIDIA DLAA or FSR 3 Native AA are also available.
There’s also extensive controller support, and key to the game’s immersion – full DualSense controller abilities including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Released for PS4 in July 2020 and then updated to 60fps for PS5, the open-world adventure game is set during the Mongol invasion of Japan in 1274. The game sold nearly 10 million copies in its first two years.
