Cameron Diaz is in final negotiations to co-star with Keanu Reeves in the Jonah Hill-directed dark comedy “Outcome” at Apple Studios.
Co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, the story follows Reef (Reeves), a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past.
He must confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip. Further plot specifics are under wraps, as are details of the actor’s roles
Diaz has taken a long break from acting, she was last seen starring 2014’s “Annie” remake. She came out of retirement for the Jamie Foxx-led Netflix action film “Back in Action” which is expected out later this year.
Hill will also star in “Outcome” and produce alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin. Hill is also developing a Grateful Dead biopic with Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions at Apple.
Hill last directed the 2018 skateboard drama “Mid90s” for A24. Filming on “Outcome” is expected to begin shortly.
