Kumail Nanjiani has joined the cast of the fourth season of “Only Murders in the Building” at Hulu.
Nanjiani will reportedly appear in a recurring role that is mostly being kept under wraps, but his character will be integral to the investigation.
It marks a return to Hulu for Nanjiani who previously scored an Emmy nomination for his work there in the limited series “Welcome to Chippendales”. He also appeared on the “History of the World, Part II” series.
He joins previously announced new season cast members Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, and Molly Shannon, whilst Meryl Streep is also set to reprise her role from season three.
The season will focus on solving the murder of Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), Charles-Haden Savage’s (Steve Martin) long-running stunt double from his years on “Brazzos” and its revival.
Further specifics about the new season story and characters are under wraps, though we do know the season will see a visit to Los Angeles before returning to The Arconia.
Regular recurring star and front-running Oscar nominee Da’Vine Joy Randolph has also indicated she expects to return alongside series stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.
“Only Murders in the Building” season four is in production now and expected to premiere in the Fall.
