By Rebecca Ferguson (“Dune: Part Two”) is set to star alongside Chris Pratt in the sci-fi feature “Mercy” at Amazon MGM Studios.
Filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov (“Wanted”) will direct and veteran producer Charles Roven will produce the project which aims to begin production this Spring.
Marco van Belle pens the film which is set in the near future when capital crime has increased. Pratt plays a detective accused of a violent crime and forced to prove his innocence.
The studio is said to have high expectations for the film and will release it theatrically.
Ferguson can currently be seen as Lady Jessica in Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” which just pulled in the biggt domestic opening of the year so far with $82 million.
She was most recently seen in “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One” and is currently filming the second season of the Apple TV+ series “Silo”.
