His brief return to “Doctor Who” late last year behind him, David Tennant was seen this past week hosting the British film industry’s night of nights – the BAFTA awards.
The Scottish actor continues popping up in projects left and right, be it on screen like in “Good Omens,” “Staged” and “Des” or just his voice for the likes of “Ahsoka,” “The Sandman” and “DuckTales”.
One of his most famous non-Time Lord roles however has been that of Kilgrave (aka The Purple Man) in Marvel’s “Jessica Jones” series. The mind-controlling character is one of the company’s most sinister creations and serves as the main antagonist of the first season of the series.
Tennant was asked at the BAFTAS (via Covered Geekly about a character he’d love to return to, and he says Kilgrave is the one he’d do again on-screen even though his character was killed off:
“I’d love to do Kilgrave again, yeah Kilgrave would be great. Yeah, that would be good wouldn’t it?! I mean… he did very much get his neck broken, he was very dead. But never say never in the Marvel Universe.”
Tennant also acknowledged Kilgrave’s demise but added “never say never” in regards to his potential return some day.
