Filming in Prague and Poland on the third season of Apple TV+ sci-fi series “Foundation” has been postponed due to issues with physical production.
Filming was slated to begin this month with some cast and crew having already convened for the shoot. Those people were told to return home until these issues were sorted out.
It is reportedly the second time the third season’s production start has been pushed. Work was to originally begin Spring 2023 but the potential of the subsequent writers and actors strikes halted that.
Adapted from Isaac Asimov’s pioneering book series, the galactic saga chronicles the journeys of four crucial individuals transcending space and time and ultimately determining the fate of humanity.
The new season will see The Mule (played by Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt) take center stage while fan-favorites Bayta, Toran, Ebling, and Magnifico Giganticus all return in the wake of the shocking events of the second season finale.
Jared Harris, Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Ella-Rae Smith, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels and Dimitri Leonidas co-star in the series. David S. Goyer serves as showrunner and executive producer.
