Dave Bautista and Samuel L. Jackson are set to team up for the action-adventure film “Afterburn” at Black Bear, Endurance Media, Dogbone Entertainment and Original Films.

The project, based on the graphic novel of the same name, will be directed by veteran “John Wick” and “Fast and Furious” stunt coordinator J.J. Perry.

The project will mark Perry’s third directorial effort after the Jamie Foxx-led “Day Shift” and the upcoming Bautista-led “The Killer’s Game”.

The story takes place a decade after a massive solar flare destroyed technology across the globe – leading to societal collapse and warlords vying for power.

Bautista plays a treasure hunter who gets hired to recover the Mona Lisa before a dangerous warlord can steal it for himself. Jackson’s role is under wraps.

The project is dubbed “Indiana Jones meets Children of Men” and aims to use real practical stunt work where possible.

Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe and Steve Richards will produce and filming is slated to begin in April across Europe with the project to be shopped around at the upcoming European Film Market.
