Long Bright River
Amanda Seyfried is set to star in the limited series adaptation of Liz Moore’s suspense thriller novel “Long Bright River”. Moore is adapting her book for the screen alongside Nikki Toscano with both serving as executive producers and Toscano as showrunner.

Seyfried plays a police officer named Mickey who patrols a Philadelphia neighborhood hard-hit by the opioid crisis. When a series of murders begins in the neighborhood, Mickey realizes that her personal history might be related to the case. [Source: Variety]

The Penguin
Jared Abrahamson (“The Changeling”) has scored a key recurring role opposite Colin Farrell in Max’s eight-episode “The Batman” spin-off series “The Penguin” from Warner Bros Television and DC Studios.

Details about Abrahamson’s character are not yet being revealed. The series follows the events of the film as Farrell’s Penguin and Cristin Milioti’s Sofia Falcone among others are vying for power in the wake of Carmine Falcone’s deposition. [Source: Deadline]

Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Disney+ will take fans inside the making of its “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series with a 50-minute documentary “A Hero’s Journey: The Making of Percy Jackson and the Olympians” being released alongside the season finale this coming Tuesday January 30th. The premiere episode reportedly amassed 26.2 million views in its first three weeks on Disney+ service.

Avatar: The Last Airbender
Netflix has released character posters from the live-action adaptation of the animated classic “Avatar: The Last Airbender” with the one-sheets showcasing the powerful firebenders of the Fire Nation. The series is set to launch on the service on February 22nd.
