Knives Out 3
A report at Deadline about Rian Johnson’s T-Street production company label says filming on the third “Knives Out” movie will begin later this year.

Daniel Craig will return in the lead role of the sleuth Benoit Blanc in a feature to again be written and directed by Johnson. The project has yet to be titled but will likely debut on Netflix in 2025.

Black Bag
Focus Features is reportedly the distributor who has landed the rights to Steven Soderbergh’s spy thriller “Black Bag” starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender. Plot specifics are under wraps, but David Koepp penned the script. [Source: THR]

Empire of Dirt
“Game of Thrones” star Kit Harington is set to produce the eight-episode limited thriller series “Empire of Dirt” which is bing dubbed a ‘very British Western’. Daniel West (“Top Boy”) will produce and no casting is yet set.

The story follows Jake, a man who unwillingly returns to his family farm in the Lake District after fifteen years. A tragic accident suddenly makes him the head of his family, and he soon learns his father has been operating a multimillion-pound drug racket. [Source: Winter is Coming]

George Carlin
The estate of late legendary comedian George Carlin has filed a lawsuit against the media company behind a fake hourlong comedy special which purportedly used artificial intelligence to recreate Carlin’s style and material.

The lawsuit asks that a judge order the podcast outlet, Dudesy, to immediately take down the audio special saying they had neither permission to use Carlin’s likeness, or license to use the late comedian’s copyrighted materials. [Source: CBS News]

Nintendo Switch 2
According to an analyst source for Bloomberg, the successor to the Nintendo Switch will have an 8-inch LCD screen (not OLED) and will be released this year. The current Switch is 6.2 inches for the regular and 7 inches for the OLED. [Source: Bloomberg]
